Support Builds for The Veteran’s Museum of Texas

Houston, TX—November 22, 2006

In support of Congressman John Culberson’s pledge to raise private funds on behalf of the Veteran’s Museum of Texas, Jeannie Bollinger, President of the Houston West Chamber of Commerce, presented the first donation in the amount of $500 to Congressman Culberson and The Veteran’s Museum at the annual Houston West Chamber Salute to Veterans Luncheon on November 10.

“In honor of Mr. Joe Reynolds and all of our Veterans, please accept this check in the amount of $500”, announced Ms. Bollinger. “The Houston West Chamber of Commerce wishes to support the Veteran’s Museum of Texas and the efforts of Congressman Culberson.”

The donation has spun off tremendous synergy and success for the Veteran’s Museum. Within one week, an additional $1200 was raised from individuals as a result of the announcement. State Representative Robert Talton has agreed to submit a State grant request to coincide with Governor Perry's pledged support for $20 million. This funding coincides with Congressman Nick Lampson's pledge of federal funding in District 22.

Based in the heart of West Houston, the Houston West Chamber of Commerce, a member-based 501© 6 organization, strives to support an economically healthy community. Since 1984, the chamber has helped grow businesses through seminars, networking and community events.
