Letter from the Senator Hutchison

UNITED STATES SENATE

April 15, 2005

The Veterans Museum in Texas
2900 Wilcrest Drive, Suite 245
Houston, Texas 77042

Dear Friends:

Texans have a strong tradition of supporting our military veterans and recognizing their service to our state and nation.

A number of our nation’s greatest heroes, like Dwight David Eisenhower, Audie Murphy and Chester Nimitz, were born in Texas and remain outstanding role models for our current generation of military personnel.

All efforts to pay tribute to our military veterans deserve commendation. It is rewarding that there are veterans museums and exhibits in communities throughout our state. The proposed Veterans Museum in Texas in Harris County will honor veterans of all wars and be a lasting reminder of their valor.

Throughout my term in the United States Senate, I have been a strong supporter and advocate for our veterans. We must never forget their sacrifices and their legacy which are carried on by our soldiers currently serving around the world.

Thank you for keeping me informed about the progress of your project,

Sincerely,

Kay Bailey Hutchison
